Sunday saw the continuing dominance of Ebola as a topic in Cable News Twitter. The reaction to the Pumpkinfest riot in New Hampshire and comparisons of it to protests in Ferguson also generated a lot of buzz:
If it’s Sunday, it’s Melissa Harris-Perry … and Meet The Press. The two shows won best hour and best day, respectively, on Cable News.
Meet The press needs an asterisk, of course, in that it is shown not only on Cable but on traditional broadcast stations as well, and it is impossible to separate tweets that were generated from the respective showings, but it doesn’t take a large leap of faith to believe that the Melissa Harris-Perry show also won best day purely on Cable News, given her 4617 mentions throughout the day (compared to MTP’s 5594).
The runners-up to MHP for best hour were an interesting group: Parts Unknown missed 1st place by 5 tweets while Last Week Tonight, Melissa Harris-Perry (the 10 am hour), and both hours of Up with Steve Kornacki followed after that:

It’s Saturday, so you know who won Cable News Twitter: Fox News’ Cashin’ In with Eric Bolling. What’s more, it received more mentions than the next 5 shows combined — more than the four hours of MSNBC’s Up with Steve Kornacki and Melissa Harris-Perry show together:
