Obama Town hall, Jon Stewart top Cable News Twitter on Wednesday, 2/25/15

MSNBC’s Town Hall with President Obama (which was hosted by José Díaz-Balart) won both the best hour and the best day overall on Cable News Twitter.  Following the town hall was The Daily Show, based on Jon Stewart’s rant against Fox News, resulting in, ironically, President Obama and Jon Stewart kicking Fox News out of the top of the chart:

Melissa Harris Perry, Fox News win Cable News Twitter on Sunday, February 22, 2015

The Melissa Harris-Perry show won best hour on Sunday, with Fox News (in general) winning the best day.  That’s a bit strange, but Fox News ran generic news during the Oscars (no reason for anyone to take a ratings hit, I guess), and so I had to just sort of mush generic Fox News mentions into a show to account for them.  Congratulations, anonymous Fox News programming, you won best day, and respectably well!

Following the 11am MHP hour were the 10am hour of MHP, Last Week Tonight, Up w/Steve Kornacki at 8 am, and the 11pm Fox News block:

Cashin’ In dominates Cable News Twitter on Saturday, 2/21/15

Yet another strong Saturday for Fox News’ Cashin’ In, whose hourly mentions were higher than the next 6 shows combined.  But Cashin’ In did not just win its hour: it had the best day overall of all shows on Cable News, with roughly twice the mentions of the runner-up, Hannity.

Following Cashin’ In for best hour was each hour of Melissa Harris-Perry and then each hour of Up with Steve Kornacki:

#WakeUpAmerica, Cashin’ In’s official hashtag, was also the most used word or hashtag in all of Cable News Twitter.  Read more about that here.
