Cashin’ In hits a new peak on Saturday, November 22, 2014 – Cable News Twitter Ratings

Saturday was an outstanding day for Cashin’ In, with more mentions than any other Saturday in August, September, October, or November (and I stopped looking before August so it could be “ever”).  I would be tempted to say this is “peak Cashin’ In”, but you know how D.C. loves to sneak unpleasant things out when no one’s looking, so I’m betting there’s something interesting awaiting us all on Black Friday …

Following Cashin’ In for best hour were The Melissa Harris-Perry Show (both hours), Up with Steve Kornacki (both hours), and Judge Jeanine.  And Cashin’ In had more mentions than all the other 5 hours combined:

Chris Hayes wins a squeaker in Cable News Twitter on Friday, 11/21/14

Chris Hayes won Cable News Twitter Friday with the most mentions during his broadcast hour. He was followed very closely by The Kelly File, two showings of Hannity, Morning Joe, and The Ed Show:

Correction:

One of the perils of doing this as a non-profit amateur (in the best sense of that word) project is that I don’t always have the time necessary to stay on top of things 100%. Around the beginning of the month, Greta Van Susteren changed her Twitter user id from @gretawire to @greta.  I did not notice that until yesterday.  D’oh!  As a result, the counts for this month (except for Friday) are inaccurate.  Because of limitations in the Twitter API, I can only fix this for the past few days, and so I will revise those blog posts accordingly sometime in the next few days.  But for the rest of them, there’s nothing I can do about it. My apologies to Ms. VS, who does a formidable job of getting social media engagement.

Kelly File wins Cable News Twitter for November 20, 2014

Consider the luck of The Kelly File: the President announces his immigration action during O’Reilly, leaving Kelly to follow-on with a facts-in-hand discussion of the breaking news.  And Twitter responded, giving Megyn Kelly the best day and best hour.

Following Megyn was Hannity, Chris Hayes & Rachel Maddow (who tag teamed to cover the President’s speech), and Anderson Cooper:
