Ebola continues to dominate US Cable News Twitter, while ISIS is lurking around in 2nd place…

One thing is for sure, with Ebola consistently topping the news and showing no signs of diminishing soon, the election isn’t going to have the media focus that partisans were hoping for.
Kelly and Hannity were the winners on Monday. First, the chart of the top 30 shows, and then afterwards an interesting observation:

I noticed something interesting when I looked at the top ranked show for each network:

For the big networks, 9pm is the best time in the day for all of them on Twitter, despite 8pm being considered the “most important time slot” (per Mediaite). I’m not sure what that really means — perhaps viewers have their devices in front of them at 9pm but not 8?

The announcement of a healthcare worker in Texas contracting Ebola dominated the conversation on Cable News Twitter Sunday, with events in the middle east taking a distant second. There was still a bit of Friday’s ALMA awards in the mentions, but that was dying out pretty fast.

Melissa Harris-Perry won best hour and CNNi best day, as is typical for Sundays. MHP’s 11am hour was followed by Kornacki @ 9am, MHP @ 10am, Kornacki @ 8am, and Judge Jeanine @ 9pm.

As you can see from the chart, on Sunday Cable News Twitter belongs to the morning line-up on MSNBC and drifts away pretty quickly after that.

Demi Lovato wins the trending topic for the day! Admittedly, the ALMA awards are questionable about whether they should be included in Cable News Twitter counts, but since MSNBC put a lot of effort into promoting and showing them I did..
