Another strong day for E! News. But somewhat beneath the surface, I see something interesting with Ronan Farrow Daily — although his engagement during his show was about what you’d expect for his time slot, his overall engagement during the day is pretty strong for the new kid on the block — over 3000 mentions of him and/or his show. Joy Reid, whose show also started on Monday, has about a third of his.

This suggests that Farrow may be on his way to being a strong presence on Twitter outside of his show, something that will be critical in helping to build an audience that actually watches his show. It would be interesting to know what kind of plays his videos get on msnbc.com; perhaps his audience is time-shifting in that way.
Three data points makes a lousy trend, so we’ll see how it goes. But it appears that Farrow is clicking with his audience.
(To be fair to Joy Reid, she’s a long time, established presence on Twitter, and does not need to work as hard to introduce herself to her audience).
